Fear the night
For darkness comes.
As emptiness abounds
In its mournful tone.

As gentle souls weep
So shall they fear
Of whispers within,
and what will appear.

For they that may come
Do not come in disguise
Nor are they quiet…
Nor creep in the night.

For where is this peace
From a promise above,
Where golden wings come
With comfort and love.

For it is not here
As the quiet begins
Soon they’ll be screaming,
and the war will begin.
